Idontknow Posted January 24 Author Posted January 24 Good to hear from you and thanks for chiming in. I’m working on getting new cabinets and I’m also going to experiment with the cabinet rotated upside down. 1 Quote
Schu Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Lovely... I might have picked a different lens though. Quote

I have a pair of Beyma 15's and they are incredible drivers, high end stuff for sure. I was thinking while watching the video the cabinets should be upside down to place the woofer closer to the horn but sounds like you've been experimenting with that already. I don't know how much it would impact the sound? I started playing around with the 2" exit drivers a few years ago Klipsch Pro line and they are highly addictive. I believe if the Chief wanted to he could create a 2-way line that would easily equal or surpass the smaller Heritage line; Heresy, forte and Cornwalls. 1 Quote
Idontknow Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Indeed, I believe you are correct about rotating the cabinet upside down. There were several responses saying the same thing which I thought was good feedback. Due to the overwhelming responses and feedback, I am currently working on a fourth video which will also include the Beyma and horn with open baffle as well as the cabinet rotated upside down, as well as an additional cabinet that’s still being made. It will be tuned by a technician. Thanks for chiming in with great suggestions. 1 Quote

I’m surprised the moderators have not deleted these posts about your homemade Heresy and Forte clones. Before the forum became “Klipsch Censored” these types of builds were always fun to follow. When I built the Super Heresys using Claude’s Super heresy recipe it was fun and results were amazing but the powers to be on this forum seemed to deem changes made by anyone but Klipsch to be something best not ever discussed here. 2 Quote
Imakeller Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I enjoyed the videos and your modifications are very nice. Klipsch speakers have always been a platform that inspires experimentation, and that’s a good thing. 1 Quote

And you felt a deep seated need to call attention to it? OK. 1 Quote

Yes because the forum was much more interesting when people could experiment with the speakers they already owned. More posts like the ones from @idontknow would keep this community a tad more fun. The community doesn’t seem as fun as it used to be. ok? 4 Quote

I didn’t realize that questioning the direction of the Forum equates to poking the bear. I have been on this forum for years and many former members are long gone from here now. If it’s not fun why do it? 5 hours ago, geezin' said: And you felt a deep seated need to call attention to it? OK.
