Some one highly recommended https://mjacoustics.co.uk/reference-200/ for la scala's thanks After trying a Klipsch mass-market subwoofer (not up to the job) and an SVS SB-1000Pro (pretty good), I ended up building two THTLP subwoofers. They’re folded horns and IMHO a great match for La Scalas. 2 Quote
Paducah Home Theater Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Horns would be best but otherwise look at Perlisten, there's nothing that the aforementioned sub can do that Perlisten can't do 10 times better. 1 Quote
Mikekid Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I am noticing more and more speaker/ sub etc.. companies are forgoing high level speaker inputs. We use a vacuum tube amplifier sometimes and am glad our chosen sub for that amp has them. 1 Quote
Campindog Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I'm using a pair of SVS SB17s with my LaScalas. I love them. They easily keep up. Very adjustable and the app is fantastic. For 20 years I used four 15" infinite baffle subs, but that is more DIY than plug and play. They were very musical, the only problem is that they shake the entire house on movie night. Whatever you get, don't get one sub. Get two to help break up room modes. Preferably with built in EQ and a sealed box if not a horn. A pair of SB3000s would also work if limited on budget. You may need line level adaptor if you don't have a dedicated sub pre out. https://www.svsound.com/products/svs-soundpath-speaker-level-subwoofer-adapter?_pos=3&_fid=60527a56c&_ss=c Quote
