Curmudgeon
Let me see: Forresthump2 gets banned for stirring up the liberal oriented and some personalized comments, yet KAIN and DEAM are still allowed to post on this board. KAIN is spewing anti-American vitriol, and DEAM's posts are ignorant and vexatious (much less the crude avatars). Christ, at least Forresthump2 had a sense of humor, the other two are just truculent pukes. I disagree with the banning of Forresthump2 just because a few thin-skinned whiners don't share his conservative (and sometimes insane, but funny) viewpoints. He's gone and those other two are still here? What a load of excrement. Perhaps we can burn some books while we're at it, or even publish a list of words to be avoided lest someone's feelings get tip-toed on. Let's all sing Kum Ba Yah. Go forth and hump the world! ....... Or is that statement not politically correct enough?
minn_male42
LET IT GO!!!!! you may not have noticed, but the two individuals you are referring to have not posted this evening.... if you quit bringing it up...they will go away... LET IT GO!!!!!

LET IT GO!!!!! ---------------- You seem to have completely missed the point of my post, which is that in my opinion that the banning of Forresthump2 is unfair if the other two (and those like them) are allowed to remain. Banning should not be exercised at all unless it's exercised evenly. I agree with the moderator locking the war related threads to bring about order but blowing out Forresthump2 was overkill. As for "LET IT GO!!!!!", sorry, but I stick my head in the sand for no one.
m00n
Curmudgeon, I can see your point. Did forrest get banned again?
minn_male42
just because the moderator did not post on this board that he banned someone....does not mean that it didn't happen.... go ahead and drag out this discussion if you wish...personally i am more interested in audio than a bunch of idiots insulting each other on a web forum.... i never asked you to stick your head in the sand...but rather walk over to the bar next to the beach where they have commercial klipsch speakers cranking out some great tunes!!!! best wishes
Audio Flynn
Let them all wander around. KAIN is a god example of a person that is programmed from his environment. I lived in as an outsider in a closed Moslem community for 4.5 years. Most US citizens do not embrace the fact the poplulation of RADICAL ISLAM are brainwashed from birth to think the USA is EVIL and needs to be converted to ISLAM or be desroyed. The more people listen to KAIN they will understand the puposeful grenade attack in Kuwait by a converted African American radical Islamist. Curmudgeon
mOOn: Yep, he's done. The webmaster announced it in this thread: http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/view.asp?mode=viewtopic&topicID=32621&num=30&sessionID={953C7E19-C02C-48DE-8B1D-A755840C6AC0}&pageNo=1 minn_male42: No problem here, I would rather be discussing audio stuff and it's not my intention to drag any problems out, this thread was just intended to state my opinion on banning members. I read most but refrained from posting on those political threads due to their incendiary nature. I just don't want members having to worry about being censored or banned just for having differing or unpopular viewpoints. Like being banned for posting about the four-letter word "Bose" or speakers manufactured by someone other than Klipsch ..... ooooooh, he said JBL! Burn him, burn the heretic! Some other audio forums have gotten heavy handed on censoring and banishment, I would hate to see this great forum be reduced to that. Guest Webmaster
As I said in that other thread, this had nothing to do with his political views. Forresthump has been ongoing headache for me for some time now. I banned him once already for posting inappropriate images and after asking him to remove them himself, he refused. After that, he stayed away for a while so when he came back, against my better judgment, I didn't ban him again immediately. However, before I banned him this time, I went into the database and looked specifically at just his posts and I swear to you that over 90% of them contained specific insults to various forum members and Im not going to put up with that. I even gave him another warning but that just made him post even worse things so he had to go. Hes had plenty of chances to keep himself from being banned but I guess he didnt care. As for Kain, while he should choose his words better knowing that the majority of the forum members are American and would react to his statements as they have, Ive only seen him insult other forum members after being insulted first (as many other forum members have as well). Ill admit that I havent read every post in question because I dont have the time to read these forums everyday and maybe something got by that I didnt see, but based on what Ive seen, I dont think he should be banned quite yet. Deam, on the other hand, has been given his final warning. Hes come close to being banned several times already. I wish I didnt have to ban anyone ever, but there are some situations where it has to be done. Thinking back, I believe there have only been two types of situations where I have to ban people: for posting inappropriate images (i.e. racist or pornographic images) and for people insulting other forum members. Amazingly, Forresthump has been banned for both. These situations do nothing to better this community; they only harm it. Ive never banned anyone for talking about other speaker companies (hell, the subwoofer forum might as well be an SVS forum) and Ive never banned anyone for bashing Klipsch. Thats something I never will do, but this is an entirely different situation. I understand that these are emotional times, but I expect people on this forum (especially the Home Theater forums) to act like adults and to keep a cool head when it comes to these posts. I would expect to see this type of thing happen in the ProMedia forums (with the average poster being teenage) before it would happen in the Home Theater forums. Seriously, its just a forum that doesnt even exist in the real world. It only exists on the World Wide Web. Well, here it is, 1 am and even though I should be in bed, Im up checking out the forum to make sure it hasnt blown up again. Its time for me to go to bed because Ive got plenty of things to do tomorrow.

mmiles
Ooooooooooooh, webmaster said... he11! Is that Michael Moore dude a member here? Sorry master but I strongly disagree with your comments regarding KAIN, however you're driving this cat I'm just holding the tail as the say. Bruinsrme
I would rather read Forresthumps BS and look at a some of Deams avatars, the last on I found funny than to have to read one sentence from that American hating Kain. Shame on Klipsch for allowing him to stay. Perhaps Klipsch should move to another country, perhaps one that starts with C or the other one that starts with F. scott

cybergeek
Forrest sent me an email today. I'll just give you the basic message because I don't want to be banned. Hard telling which seat-of-the pants policy might spring up and get me banned. He said that he's still here among you, but Kain isn't. And God bless America and Klipsch speakers. Again, I don't agree with the Master. As like on here lately, the first time Forrest was banned by him, for posting pics I wouldn't consider porn or racism whatsoever, & in response to a pic of him as a chimp, he was being pelted with insults from numerous other members. Many are still here, posting away about nonsense. Neither that time nor this did the Master give a warning to the effect of don't do this again or else I will ban you. The first time was DO this or I'll ban you, & the second time was effectively "I'm thinking about banning you". You can read the post in the Web Site section. Forrest may have been harsh at times, but I think he was funny, & his aim was true. Notice those he attacked were those spreading Liberal garbage and other nonsense on a site that's supposed to be about audio. No coincidence it's those posters which rejoice in his ban. Lower intellects with primitive lives tend to be very territorial. But the sensible here know the wrong person was banned. As well as the many good posters who are now gone. Beware of those who rejoice because they have ulterior motives.
cc1091
I'm sorry I missed all the fireworks. I don't know that anyone here can be happier that ForrestThump was banned than I. I found him...well anyway, I'll just say I'm happy to hear it. And "about time (again)". But he will get a new account easily enough. can't ban all the IPs either. One would think that KAiN and Forrest would get along. After all, conservatism is conservatism wether it is done under the guise of American ultra-reactionary Republicanism or in the name of an Islamic Jihad. Can't we just put the war hawks, the radical muslims and a few other wackos in a lead lined room and seal it for a few thousand years until they're done with their foolishness? cybergeek
CC, of course to an Un-American Liberal like yourself, you can't tell the difference between the two. Liberals want to stick their head between their legs and think everything is fine. Life to them is nothing but a big Grecian spa. LOL Anyway, what more could we expect from someone who thinks the RP are a great speaker. LOL
TBrennan
Scott---I was just wondering what war you're a veteran of. I'd presumed WW II as that was the war that saw the most action for American submariners.
hwatkins
Ah CyberGeek and CC... It is so refreshing to find someone who is willing to discuss the facts and is not mired in attacking those that think differently than they do... Webmaster... Do not let this banning stuff eat at you and get some rest. The job is difficult and whenever negative action is taken you will question if you did the right thing. Invariably, there will be negative critique of strong willed action. Regardless, your action was one of several 'right' choices you had and to date has been effective. Don't lose sleep over some minimal fireworks. You are doing a great job. Everyone needs to remember that this is just like your television - if you don't like the program, either change channels or listen to music...
