Domain Posted April 26, 2001 Share Posted April 26, 2001 Boris, The Sub level is going to be largely based on your own personal preferences, and "what" you are trying to set the level for... When you say your speakers are set to 85db, is this the level from the Denon test tone? Avia? Video Essentials? Depending on the source, the level is going to vary. I started out trying to do the sub level solely based off what the SPL meter was telling me, but ended up tossing that ideal aside and just setting it to the level my ears felt was best (with a few minor tweaks after that).
