pgh
I just purchased a pair of KI-262's for my churhc, and have a question on the specs. On the Klipsch website, the FR for the 262s is indicated as 77Hz 20kHz +/-4db, -10db @ 66Hz. The cut sheet and owners manual indicate the KI-262 FR is 75Hz 12.5kHz +/-4db, -10db @ 64Hz. Which is correct? And if the top end is 12.5kHz, what is the problem, if any, with the cutoff at that level? I understand that FR is just one indication of sound quality, and not necessarily a good one, but would the 12.5kHz be a serious limit?
lhtf
PGH, If you bought the KI-262 in the past two years, the spec on the website is correct. The reason for the difference is the HF drivers. The latest KI-262 has a K-68-A compression driver that has better top end. The spec sheet that has 12.5kHz as the upper limit has a K-52-TI. The K-52-TI has a roll off at the higher frequencies. If you have any more questions let me know. LHTF
