Mallette
As it is highly related to this thread, I'd suggest you read my post, this Forum, "Virtual Audio Reality Realized?" This is not a commercial, as I don't have anything to sell yet nor a business to sell it through. However, that may come. This is one of the most startling recording I've ever heard. If any of you have ever heard the Spankers, you know what a riot it can be. Lots of fun. whiteknee
These 2 are older recordings so sound quality is OK but the performances are classic: The Doors Live at the Hollywood Bowl - Jim at his best! Eric Clapton and Friends - I get goose bumps when Phil Collins jumps on the drum kit to knock out "In the Air Tonight" and Clapton's version of Layla is epic. muleman
Peter Gabriel - "Secret world live". Audio excellent, video OK. Concert circa 1992 Recently Peter released "Growing Up" Audio excellent, video good. Play both of these in DTS for best results. If you like his music, these are must haves, both of them Also note that about a decade went by between these two releases. On "Secret World Live" Peter Gabriel looks the way you remember him. On the new DVD release, I almost mistook him as COL Kurtz from Apocalypse Now.
Moderators dtel Posted December 18, 2003 Moderators Share Posted December 18, 2003 Eric claption " one more car one more rider " Steely dans two against nature Eagles hell freezes over Stevie ray vaughan and double trouble live from austin texas not the best sound it is just dolby digital, sounds best on dpl or just stereo but it was some of his best songs.
whadyasay
Eric Clapton Live In Hyde Park and Brian Setzer Live In Tokyo both have very powerful DTS mixes, and Stevie Ray Vaughan Live At The El Mocombo ranks right up there with Jimi Plays Monterey as a benchmark guitar Tour De Force.
