tjh011
I currently have the following: Denon 2802 SF-1 mains RC-25 center KV-3 rear center KSW-12 & a Klipsch 8" Sub (dont know model) I am just using some Kenwood bookshelfs for my rear surrounds. I am considering upgrading my mains to a rf-25 or rf-35 and moving the SF-1's to my rear surrounds. Would I be better off upgrading the mains to one of those or just getting new surrounds? My budget is limited and would pushing it too get the rf-35's. What do you guys think would benefit me the most? My room is probably 15' x 10'. Griffinator
Upgrade the mains. You'll be astonished at how much better an RF-35 will perform up front over those SF-1's.
nicholtl
What Griff said. And what you said too! Upgrade your mains, and throw the SF's to the surrounds. You already have the RC-25, so RF-25's would match it perfectly.
tjh011
Thanks for the replies! Thats is what I was thinking, I just wasnt sure how the SF1's would work as surrounds. I guess I better start saving.
Griffinator
The SF-1's will do fine as surrounds until you're ready to complete your reference package and put those little Synergys on E-bay!
tjh011
Thanks for the help! I went in to Ulimate today to listen to both the rf-25 and rf-35, and was going to buy in a month or 2 after I had saved up some dough. But they gave me a good deal and I decided to take the plunge and got the rf-35 now, and they let me upgrade my rc-25 to the rc-35 that I have had for 2 months now. Good thing for the 12 months 0% financing! Now I just have to wait a couple of days for the rf-35's.
BackBurner
I agree with the rest of the guys , mains take most of the info anyway so thats a good place to upgrade.
