Rdmarsiii
How do you create a partition in Windows XP Pro? I want to put my copy of RedHat 7.2 on my computer....
dougdrake
I don't believe you create a partition in XP, do you? Isn't that done on the hard drive itself, by the hard drive formatting software or a utility like Partition Magic (and I think you need to use something like Partition Magic to avoid blowing away your existing partitions)? Rdmarsiii
Oh... I dont have that. Can you create a partition in the Linux setup? Thanks!
rol1
Get a second harddrive. If you have xp on a ntfs partition you may not want to try make room for the linux partitions. But if you're a sucker for punishment check out Ranish partition manager and some of the links down the page lead to some partition resizers. doctorcilantro
You can go into Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Disk Management and format away, but it is mostly recommended to use 3rd party software like Part. Magic 8. I assume your reading up on dual booting so good luck! DC
