seventeenmonkeys
I bought my pros about a week ago but haven't set them up yet since my new computer isn't finished yet. Any tips on making sure nothing goes wrong right off the bat when setting up the speakers (other than the instructions that came with the speakers) i have a soundblaster x-gamer 5.1 soundcard thanks in advance
Dan F
17, The only thing that comes initially to mind is that you should remember to set up the SB card software for four speaker mode. Enjoy!
Paragon
Have a 5-point seatbelt harness installed in your computer chair and buy a neckbrace. I am all ready for when I get mine.
LoW_KeY
Might want some cushions.. so when your head takes a sudden jolt back you don't get a concussion
Paragon
that or just get one of those halo head/neck braces
jonpratt
Most importantly... make sure you have dental coverage. Klipsch have been known to damage fillings and crowns.
tmerry
Tape up all your windows to avoid any flying glass shards!
XPhys71
Remember to start easy and gradually work into the listening experience. Try to resist the urge to crank the bass and volume up all the way before you have built up an adequate resistance to high pressure sound waves. Don't forget to have your non-v2-400-owning friends over to gawk at your new toy ------------------ Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're absolutely right.
Sam_D
XPhys is right. Don't just crank the sub all the way up when you first get it out of the box, do it all gradually and become accustomed to the Klipsch sound. Also, refer to a much earlier post (I think by Seb) about "breaking-in your pros". It'll add to the longevity (or something like that, but check it out anyway) Hope this helps, Sam
The Rocker
Yes, drive your new speakers as you would drive a new car from the showroom. Get familiar with all the gadgets-( sound )- have a break-in period than go like hell! ROCK ON!
Movie Freak
Don't forget a box of tissues, the first time you rev these babies up can be pretty emotional. Then sit back and be amazed at what beautiful and amazing sounds come from these small wonders. ------------------ Movies take us to a place we would like to be and away from a place we would like to forget.
