JasonJCarney
Hiding the wires is easy. Remove lower moulding. Make 2 holes, 1 behind the moulding and 1 behind the tv. Use wire snake to pull wires behind wall. Run your speaker wires along base of wall. Reinstall moulding on top of wire to cover hole and hide wire. oldmako
Great idea. But I am a lowly renter and the super of my crackhouse would certainly take umbrage should I get CroMag with his hovel. So, I'll just add to my tumbler and enjoy the sublime audio emanating from my Craigslist collection and ignore the unsightly octopussy of wires. gsxr1000
Mind me asking who makes your entertainment stand? Looks nice. BDI. They make very nice stuff. I picked mine up through craigslist because they are quite pricey new. http://www.bdiusa.com/
Dysmae
I think that is the BDI Avion II. That is currently one of my favorite stands. I wouldn't have thought that the rc-64 would fit in that center area. Looks great!

I wouldn't have thought that the rc-64 would fit in that center area. Looks great! You are close. Mine is the older Avion not the II. There were very few minor changes and I found a killer deal on this one so I had to jump on it. I must say it is a very well built stand. With that center drawer removed the 64II just barely slides in. Fits perfectly. Thanks!

R3bornlife
Hello everyone! My home theater is finally at the point where I can post it here I am an 18 year old university student at the UofA, and I would like to say I have the best system of anyone my age (That I paid for!) (Except the laptop)It started as two old Wharfedale Diamond III bookshelves and an old Sony amp from my dad, and I've upgraded it all myself to this over the last 4 or 5 years. Yes I started young!Heres my current setup:Front- Klipsch Rf-5Center- Klipsch Rc-7 (Yes it is damaged, the previous owner got it that way when he bought it online. He fixed it up pretty good, and with some fine sharpie it's fairly unnoticable) (and yes the tv is on top. I figured if i can stand on the speaker it can hold a 60lb tv, and it's already pretty beaten up)Subs- Klipsch rw-10, SVS SB13-Plus (Yes it's in strange spot. But it sounds AMAZING at the main LP. Get off that couch and the spl's drop a fair amount. But how often do I have more than 3 people seriously listening to it? Not often.)Sides- Klipsch SS-1Rears- Klipsch Rf-15Receiver- Onkyo 7.1 85wpcBlu ray- Samsung Wifi enabledGames - PS2, Xbox 360Power center- Monster HTS 1600Tv- Lg 55" LCD 1080pPC- Asus 17" Gaming laptop Satellite- Shaw HD box (non pvr)Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard750gb external HDSpeaker cable/connectors- All hdmi for video sources. psg
Finally got a sub so here's a pic. The KLF 20s are not a part of the system. They are for 2CH. Fronts - CF3 and RF-35s Centers - Academy and KLF C7, Rears - KG 5.2s, No surrounds, Sub KSW 15 Yamaha RX V1500, Samsung 42inchmuchtoosmallcantwaittoupgradetoatleasta50" Plasma Please don't take this the wrong way, but why are you using two pairs of fronts and two centers? That has more potential to muddy up the sound than to make it better. I would pick the best of the two sets and only connect those. The other set can be put to use in another room (now or in the future).
CoasterMatt
Here's a not so good picture of my current setup- RB35s for fronts, RC64 center, RS35 surrounds, powered by a Marantz SR5005. There's also an Emotiva Ultra Sub 10 in the corner to help the low end, too. Hopefully I can get together some more coin and get a pair of RF-63s for the front L and R, sooner than later. GWSmith
Nicely done Coaster...! Why do our screens always look BLUE when we take photos? Hmmm, probably have to do a color temp correction on the camera for the flourecent backlighting. Something I need to try with my D-SLR sometime... ........Gary
Moderators Youthman Posted February 12, 2012 Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2012 Why do our screens always look BLUE when we take photos? I typically set my white balance on my Nikon D90 first, set my aperture as low as it will go (1.8), place my camera on something stable (to act as a tripod), set my camera timer. Most of my screenshots though have been with the lights off since my projector isn't very bright with all lights on and looks very washed out. One thing I learned about taking photos of universal remotes with LCD screens, you have to figure out what the refresh rate is on your TV so that you can set your shutter speed to that refresh rate. Ex. if you TV is 60hz, you set the shutter speed to 1/60. Definitely is a challenge to get a great pic of an LCD image. Hope that helps some. USNRET
I was cruising past some of my posts in other places and found pictures that seem to have been culled from my hard drive.
