jonpratt
What Klipsch speakers (new) are the closet match to the KG2 line? Thanks, Jon
PhilH
jonpratt: This is a tougher one since the KG 2 used a different type of mid/high driver called a "dhorm". It controlled the pattern of a narrower amount of frequencies to 90 degrees than the Tractrix does today. It also used a passive radiator to get deeper bass out of a smaller box that could be used as bookshelf or floor. The closest match as far as a current line goes is Synergy, so if you're looking for the best current matching center channel, it's the SC-1. You'd have to go to a (taller) tower today to match, somewhat, the bass of the KG 2 if you're looking at a close match in a main speaker. The closest there is the SF-2. If you want bookshelf (with less bass than the KG 2) the SB-3 is closest.

TKA
I have just taken a pair of KG2s added the SC-1 center and two SS-1 surround speakers,I think that is what the matching chart on this site recommended. In your case it sounds like you want to use them as the surrounds, the main that matched the SS-1 and SC-1 the closest is the SF-1. I didn't have room for SF-1 towers by the TV. This set up with the 12" subwoofer is very nice for Movies etc.
TKA
Hi Phil, Thanks for the info on the KG2s, in the HT setup I just mentioned, should I send any base signal thru the KG2s or send it all to the sub? Thanks TKA
