OK, then, quick questions, another Dean, what really was wrong with the LF10?

Do KSW or RSW subs need additional dampening weight?

oh, and welcome, look forward to your posts!

Thank you Amy,

Yes, absolutely, I will help out as time permits!

All,

My FIRST and most important responsibility to Klipsch is the design, implementation, execution, and launch to production of powered subwoofers. Any consumer product design involves enormous amounts of time and energy, even designing something as fun as Subwoofers. That time is oft spent on things the average consumer might not expect. It isn't just building boxes, and blowing up woofers :). Care to guess at the optimal durrometer reading for the rubber used in surrounds balancing localized inversion, mass, durability and efficiency, or how to ensure the gates in a tooled plastic part are accurately located and provide sufficient flow, or what wall thickness to rib thickness the material needs so as to prevent shadowing or sink holes in a finished part, or how MANY different textures can be tooled, or what all is required to acquire CE/UL/CSA listings in the context of a rapid timeline en rout to production, or?~ (The list is MUCH longer :). Point being, my day job leaves me with very little free time to surf our forums and moderate, let alone chat, however I WILL look in as regularly as I can.

Please understand as a moderator, my responsibility to this board is to provide assistance to the current moderators in policing the boards. I am not here to provide tech support per se', however if time permits I may assist with a few technical questions. Yes I am a subwoofer designer by profession, and beyond that subwoofers and bass are ABSOLUTELY my passion, that is how they became my profession. In fact more than a few of you more zealous bass head types may already know me. (theBeast anybody?:). Please understand I am NOT here to give anybody the 'inside scoop' on current or upcoming products nor will I get involved with "which sub is better or he said she said" type threads.

Since YOU the readers ARE on this board I do expect you to be familiar with forum rules and as such have an idea what my duties will be as a moderator. If however if you are not familiar with them, please feel free to review them, I've copied them below:
