WMcD
Nelson Pass has a new product and a new section of his website regarding tube-like amps and horns, Lowthers, etc. Go to www.passlabs.com and take a look. Gil
tpg
I am a huge Pass Zen amp fan... and will check this out very soon. Thanks for pointing it out.
JohnA
I proposed such a thing via e-mail to Mondial about the time they merged with Klipsch. I believe others did, too. Imagine, an amp designed just for horns without the fussy, deteriorating tubes! I wonder if I would be willing to pay for one of those? I just noticed they claim an output impedance of 80 ohms!? sunnysal
he actually optimized these first amps for single driver speakers since that type of circuit really only works directly into drivers, not through a crossover...nelson pass is a reall audiophile and he will be producing other models in this same vein for other types of speakers/uses. regards, tony
seti
Reminds me of an article by Steve Deckert on the decware site which has several great articles. http://www.decware.com/newsite/articles.htm If the first watt sucks, why continue? http://www.decware.com/paper43.htm I think I've read just about every article on this site today.
