Cal Blacksmith Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Are there any other KRAFTWERK fans here? I started listening to them in the late 70s and the music never gets old. I have many of their albums and a few that have been re-mastered to cd as well. I am always on the lookout for something from them that I dont have. GREAT music!
seti Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I forgot the name of the festival but Kraftwerk played in California this year as well as a tour. Check out http://www.kraftwerk.com/ weird navigation but a very cool site. I think they even have a discography.
colterphoto1 Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 big fan of Kraftwerk, as well as Tangerine Dream, Eno and others. I used to dabble in analog synthesizers back then, although I am decidedly a non-musician, just a sound engineer. Still have a Yamaha mini-moog copy. Have a few Kraftwerk on LP, no CD's yet.
dodger Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 fun, fun, fun on the Autobahn... dodger here, package here too.
D-MAN Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Wasn't Kraftwerk in the "BIG LUBOWSKI" (or whatever) movie? They played the anarchists... DM

thebes Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Dodger, they did Fhart, Fhart Fhart auf dem autobhon? What a hoot of a song. Very cool.Another one to add to the collection.
jdm56 Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Yup, I'm a big Kraftwerk fan, too. Favorite track: Neon Lights, from "The Man Machine". Sounds great in 5-channel stereo!
colterphoto1 Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 that website is KOOOOOL! Did you notice on some of the songs that your cursor becomes a tool in manipulating the 'remix' and that you can record your own version of Kraftwerk songs?? I just spent 20 minutes there, what a blast!
synthfreek Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Uhhhh...I like 'em too. A great Kraftwerk cover is The Model by Big Black. There's also Senor Coconut who does Kraftwerk covers in a Caribbean Salsa style complete with vibes and maracas.
