I hate to part with these precious speakers - they sound better and more open than anything else on the planet. Bought them in 1986. They will not fit in my new apartment. They are Raw Birch wood. They have a few small dings but nothing very noticable. Right now they are located in Los Angeles (Manhattan Beach) and will be moving to Silicon Valley (Palo Alto) in 2 weeks. They can be shipped anywhere in the US.

They sound perfect.

Serial #8675995 and #8675997 pair

Type KB BR(Birch Raw), produced in 1985?.

Speakers are in EXCELLENT condition, show minor wear and tear, nicks and scratches.

Speakers are in PERFECT operating condition and sound great. All drivers and crossovers good.

K77 tweeters

SENSITIVITY: 104dB @ 1watt/1meter

ENCLOSURE TYPE: Fully horn-loaded

DIMENSIONS: 52" x 31.25" x 28.5" Each

WEIGHT: 192 lbs. Each

I'll offer them here for a very short while then they go on Ebay Sunday Oct 17th.

I also have a pair of Hereseys that are available.

I'm asking $2275. for the pair. Shipping is not included . - email me and I'll send pictures - bhanley7@yahoo.com (310 704-6069)

Welcome Brian,

You might find that those will not sell here at that price. That is on the high side even for one of the nicer veneers. No offense intended, just trying to be helpful.

Also, pictures can be uploaded here. Just click on the "attach file" button in the post form, and you can upload them to Klipsch server form your hard drive. More detail would help as well. Actual model & serial numbers are usually helpful.

You may find that $1500 would be a more common price point for raw finished Khorns. Another member had a matched pair of Walnut veneer sheets cut & ready to go, so this might make a nice project for somebody. Again, no criticism is intended here. I've been trying to get $800 for my Scott 299C for a while now.2.gif

Good luck.

Thanks for helping a newbie. I've adjusted the price quite a bit. Not sure I would part with them for 1500. What price is fair for a pair of Heresey's ?

Heresy's are selling on ebay, depending on wood type and finish from 250 to 550 per pair. pictures and serial numbers of yours will tell what they are worth

Not trying to criticize, just trying to be helpful.

You may want to make an adjustment to your "...sound great with only 55 watts." statement. A lot of the forum members are getting dang good sound with 1/3 of that or less. Granted, whoever buys these will probably be already aware of the small amount of power needed, but why exclude those with no Klipschorn experience that are using lesser powered amps?

Again, just trying to help. 1.gif
