Audible Nectar
Kubrick was painstakingly obsessed with getting the shots just exactly perfect. He would shoot a supposedly simple character entrance to a room dozens of times, looking for "the one" that would look exactly as he wanted it. I read someplace that Eyes Wide Shut took 400 days to shoot. Not to make - but the actual shooting of the film. Dude was obsessed. I wish more directors were similarly obsessed. oscarsear
Kubrick was very much responsible for the movie Artificial Intelligence (AI). Kubrick structured much of the screenplay and then it got handed to Speilberg for production. But the movie has Kubrick all over it in so many of his peculiar ways. I never have enjoyed movies chocked full of gratuitous violence/sex/cursing you-name-it. If that is what someone thinks it needs to sell then it was too shallow to begin with.
