kittybuddy Posted December 8, 2004 Share Posted December 8, 2004 Hi everybody I have been enjoying your post for the past couple of days and thought it was time to say Hi. I just recently got in to this hobby but when I did I had the luck of the Irish on my side. The first pair of horn speakers I bought were a pair of Altec Valencia's, answered an add in local paper I payed $20.00 for them. Brought them home and they work great. Three weeks later my wife draged me to garage sales with her, the first one we went to had a pair of 82 la scala's for sale I payed 150.00 for them so needless to say i have been lucky.They sound great i am listening as i write. You won't be disappointed if you purchase McIntosh for 'em, although you may also want to consider tube gear for them if you're so inclined. Enjoy, and happy listening!
