chickey Posted December 10, 2004 Share Posted December 10, 2004 Folks, I'm looking to jump back into the equipment upgrade cycle, after having spent the last couple of years on the sidelines. First and foremost is my controller, which is a woefully outdated Parasound P/SP-1500. I've been eyeing the Halo C2, as I know a lot of Klipsch fans have enjoyed great success with this combination. At the same time, I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger, since the product is almost 2 years old. Does anyone know whether Parasound intends to release its next generation controller anytime soon, or will they be sticking with the C2 for the foreseeable future? john4618 Posted December 10, 2004 Share Posted December 10, 2004 Colin, Parasound will be sticking with their C1/C2 because the units are upgradeable. A new software upgrade with lots of new features is said to be released next week. There is no word on any hardware upgrades yet. As for the Halo series, as also stated above, the updates will be released on December 15th. And despite being 2 years old, the controllers are still to die for. If you decide to go the HALO route, contact Brent Huskins. He is an outstanding guy and backs his sales. I have purchased all my Halo gear, Denon DVD and Sharp projector from him.
