AnalOg
Ben, If I can't have the piece finished on the sides then I won't get it from Home Depot. Definitely want it fit and finished. Tom
ben.
If the Despot did that for you, it'd be an independant contractor anyhow. If you strike out, let me know. Depending on size and weight shipping may or may not be an issue. Those pieces mentioned above are 19"x24", BTW.
richinlr
I have a 20 year old SOTA Sapphire with a homemade power supply. The arm is a Kiseki Gold internally rewired (by me) with Van den Hul silver tonearm wire with van Den Hul D-502 interconnect between arm and pre-amp. I am currently running an Audio Technica AT-OC9 moving coil into an Electrocompaniet head amp. I also have an old Kiseki Purpleheart moving coil that is not currently in use. Just grabbed a brand-new Shure V15VxMR moving magnet off of eBay before there are no more. Haven't yet installed the Shure because I have remove the MC head amp from my pre-amp in order to use a moving magnet.
picky
That's a 1976 Pioneer PL-55X Direct Drive turntable stuffed into our equipment rack. The arm currently has a Stanton 681EEE Cartrideg installed on it. It's nothing fancy, and we've never seen a reason to replace it because we like the sound we get from it. We've had it since we bought it new in 1976 in Reno, Nevada.
oldtimer
Still using the Technics SL-D2 I purchased in 1979, with the same Audio Technica AT962XE cartridge (more commonly know as the AT11E). Never had a problem.
