dtximages Posted August 1, 2000 Share Posted August 1, 2000 My attempts to fix my k77s failed with the new t35 diapragms so I bought whole new tweeters off of ebay. These have round magnets like mine do and Steve (the seller) said that the round mags were better. Is that true? What is the difference. I paid $250 for both of the whole horn assemplies with the t35s. Did I get ripped? If so Id rather not know about it. Ha. WMcD Posted August 2, 2000 Share Posted August 2, 2000 Unless this fellow has run tests, I doubt there is much basis to say one or the other design is "better" in any substantial way just because of the type of magnet. From what I read, the units (I assume, both round and square) go though more QC at Klipsch and EV before they get the the Klipsch label on them. So, Klipsch is hand picking the ones which produce better curves as detected by an objective test. It is a matter of production variations.
