Al Klappenberger Posted August 9, 2005 Author Share Posted August 9, 2005 The question of tweeters inboard or outboard is undecided in my mind. I think I put mine inboard with the Trachorns. When I was using Altec 811 squawker horns I had all the tweeters (including the center speaker) with the tweeter on the right. I really don't think it makes a lot of difference! Al K. consistent Posted August 9, 2005 Share Posted August 9, 2005 Hey Al, You know where the tweeters sit in the current stock Khorn (no mods) on top of the K401 mouth, what if they where moved to the vertical position inboard or out? Al Klappenberger Posted August 10, 2005 Author Share Posted August 10, 2005 The original T-35 tweeter was intended to be mounted in the vertical postion by ElectroVoice. Klipsch mounted it horizontally so there would not be a left / right "pair" problem to complicate the manufacturing process. With a crossover at 6000 Hz it really doesn't matter as much as if it was operated lower. It's a defraction horn. Vertical is actually the better way to mount it. AL K.
