DizRotus
Did I miss something? Since when are U.S. and Canadian citizens personae non grata to Svetlana Tubes? When you go to their website: http://www.svetlana-tubes.com, you are invited in and then shown the door, if from Canada or the U.S. Whats the deal? Do they no longer export to U.S. or Canada? DizRotus
Never mind. I stumbled upon the answer at the website for Triode Electronics Online: http://store.yahoo.com/triodeel/tubes.html, where they state: "Note about "SED" Tubes:These used to be called Svetlana before a legal dispute forced the factory to quit marketing under the Svetlana name in the USA. Same tube, same box, same "C" logo, made in the same factory in St Petersburg, Russia as before."
Daddy Dee
How odd! They can use the Svetlana label in the rest of the world, but not in North America. That makes sense to someone I'm sure. I'm glad to know the tubes can be had without the name.
