Well picked up the single 1975 La Scala for my center channel and it's going to need a tune up! I do not know anything about crossovers but this one looks like it needs to be replaced. Trying to post pics, this one should be the mid horn magnet

I think I am going to raise my tv stand enough to put the speaker under neath and then make a speaker grille 48 inches wide and 38 inches high that will cover the speaker and everything below the tv. This way I do not have to spend a lot of time trying to refinish it.

The guy said it was being used at a church so not sure what they did to the crossover. Maybe they did the mod so the preacher could spread the word with the heavenly sound of Klipsch. I think maybe getting a ALK crossover or one of Dean's crossovers would be the safest thing to do!

JBSL, First take that large 70V transformer out of there. It is for PA use not your amplfier it was installed by the soundman at the church. then hook your amp up to the two lugs at the for right on your AA x-overs.

A good BEC rebuild with pio motor caps, DeanG rebuild with F%F caps or an ALK will improve the sound.
