greg928gts
The mid-bass horn had a 10" driver. Greg
djk
"Lookit the funny stack 'o tweeters ... why not mount just One JBL that could do the job .. besides ... whaty can the throw actually be on them ...???" That stack has 14dB more output at 20Khz than a JBL2404, better transient response, and OEM cost was a small fraction what the JBL was. I have two sets, they throw to the back of a large hall quite well, thank you!
Thumpelstiltskin
Did any of you see the ad where a pair of MCM1900's sold for $500/obo? Can you imagine how the buyer felt when he drove away with these babies? MCM 1900's - $500 Rick.
colterphoto1
We did sound for the Ramones at the Vogue Theatre in Broad Ripple once. Had MCM stacks for the main house AND ANOTHER SET FOR SIDE FILL MONITORS. Those guys are very deaf now! Michael
mopeman
Commercial audio? Here is a shot of one of my MCM's in my loft. Sorry for the picture quality, it's the only one I have. I am the third owner of them and they have never been used professionally. The other one is in the corner to the left of this one by about 15 feet in a room that is 44' x 50' with a 14' ceiling. I run them each with an Adcom 565 which seems to be just enough power to make them audible over a normal conversation! In a left/right, side by side test, my LaScala sounded like a transistor radio compared to the MCM. If you have the room and can find a set, I would really recommend them. Would love to hear from other deaf people with a set!
wuzzzer
Sorry bud, but we don't have direct access to pics your hard drive. You probably don't want us to, either!
SCOOTERDOG
Ken, I have seen this picture once before. The Regal Cinema in my old town used a smaller version of this Klipsch system. Out of all the theaters within 50 miles it rocked.
j-malotky
How do you think they would sound when compared to k-horns? A few years back Jim Hunter told me that the a single MCM was the equivelent of three Khorns. JM
