Problem - Scratching

No it's not a real problem. It's probably dust or dirt in the pots of the preamp. The CP-1 will eliminate this problem (or at least get rid of most of it), I haven't had any problems yet with either of the preamps that I've owned ('original' and the CP-1).

There's several solutions to fix it, and you can find those by searching for "scratching" or "static" in the forum search. One solution that's worked for me is to put a cheap air cleaner in the room, and that eliminated it for me when I had the 'original' preamp.

If you don't mind it, you're fine. If it gets awful, you can't stand it, and you've tried every solution you can find, then you can call tech support at the number above.

Hope this helps,

Sam
