carlos1226
I'm having a new house built, and they will install an all Klipsch 6-speaker system, with the following Subw. KSW-10 Center Chan. SC-1 Front Speakers (2) SCW-2 Surround Speakers (2) SCW-1 I've attached a picture of the room's layout which is about 15x15... I actually have two questions... without spending too much money, should I upgrade any of the components they are giving me? what receiver (in the $500 - $1000 range) should I buy? ------------------ Carlos
TheEAR
Denon 3801 or 3802 would be a great choice,Yamaha has two units in this price range that may also be good choices. After you would have Marantz SR8000 and HK 510 recievers could do the job just fine, and then some. TheEAR(s) Now theears
myram
I second the vote for the Denon 3802, it is a great receiver and sounds great with Klipsch speakers. As a side note......I would go with at least the KSW 12 or more so the KSW 15. The 10 is just not going to be enough bass for a room of that size and with the 15 you can always adjust it down to what you need. T2K
Spend LESS on the receiver(Denon 2802)and MORE on the sub.Please. Keith
TheEAR
Wait,if you want to spend less then the 3801(disco now) will cost just a few dollars and you can then get a KSW15 or even a RSW10. A 15'-15' room needs at least a KSW15 sub. And the 2802 could be an option if you plan to buy a power amp one day.
