sesquim Posted September 19, 2001 Share Posted September 19, 2001 I have a compaq 5711 model computer and i went to ther site to update my sound driver, its an onboard sound card, i think it was a ESS solo but after installing the new driver when i play winamp it says "MMSYSTEM002 A device ID has been use that is out of your system" what do i do to get my sound back? AM i SCREWED?ahhhhhhhh i will never ever update anything again! I tried completely deleting my sound driver and restarted then after windows install recomended drivers it still doesnt work.
