Hi, newbie to the forum

Can anyone suggest an alternative to B**e 101MM [:$] from the current Klipsch range?

What I'm looking for are reasonable vocal clarity and neutrality (a

Yamha DM1000 desk has more than enough EQ power) plus some

punch for the AV.

The Bose are desperately bad speakers IMHO.

The speakers would, obviously, have to perform far better than the

Bose, and would have to be similar in price (we'd be looking at 12

units). This is a flexible 4-zone meeting / presentation setup (but that can be configured as 1,2 or 3 rooms as well), and the

spakers would be required for AV and live to mic duty. Oh, and they

should be wall/ceiling mountabe and also come in white/silver. No subs,

either. This is a designer room[:(]

I'm quite tempted by the thought of having (slightly) bigger

transducers beside each of the two 100-inch proj screens, and smaller

speakers to provide fill.

Oh yeah, I'm in Japan [:)]

Any thoughts/suggestions warmly welcomed!

Joel / Tokyo

Hi Bill,

Thank you for that. Yes, this is commercial use, and thus very

cost conscious... I wish it were otherwise, but sound quality comes

bottom in the pecking order (didn't used to be like this yadayada).

Anyway, those CMS4.1s look very interesting. Any idea on pricing for

individual units? There are no dealers here in Japan, although Yamaha

have just started distributing the reference series speakers. If the

CMS sound anything like those, I'll be very happy[:D]

Jomina,

Honestly, I have no idea on their pricing structure. Here is another link of the spec's for the system.

You should contact customer support or one of the Klipsch engineers like Trey Cannon for more information. Good Luck, and let the Board know what you end up with.

An idea you might look into is because Klipsch (sadly) isn't in the Japan Market- look a companies

that meet your needs, and offer service and installation .........i.e. Yamaha. Just an Idea!
