I've been thinking of forum member David (aka dkp) and his little daughter Sophia Lynn.

This is a wonderful song of parental love:

"I'll walk in the rain by your side

I'll cling to the warmth of your tiny hand

I'll do anything to help you understand

And I'll love you more than anybody can"

OK, OK. I thought these would be easy. They all had alot of radio play. The last one was "For Bobby" (or "For Baby") by John Denver. It is a sweet song - I'll post a link for dkp in his thread.

I'll be leaving the house again for a while and I will leave you with another challenge. If you guys don't get this one, I'll have to confiscate your stereo gear.

"Now I see you standing

With brown leaves falling around

And snow in your hair

Now you're smiling out the window

Of that crummy hotel

Over Washington Square"

Another verse to keep it moving and a dead give away

"Long shot of that jumping sign,

Invisible shivers running down my spine.

Cut to baby taking off her clothes.

Close-up of the sign that says,"We never close"

You ****** a chew and match a cigarette,

She pulls the eyes out with a face like a magnet.

I don't know how much more of this I can take.

She's filing her nails while they're dragging the lake."

Jeeze. Ok for the sake of the speed of game it was Elvis Costello 'Watching the Detectives'

Here is a real easy one, as I have to go out, good luck

"It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear.

She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair.

And then she asks me, "Do I look all right?"

And I say, "Yes, you look....."
