Here's another southern rock classic challenge:

"How many times must good men die?

How many tears will the children cry?

'Til they suffer no more sadness

Stop the madness,

Oh, stop the madness."

Name that Tune!

Fall of the Peacemaker by Molly Hatchet.

Two feets they come a creepin'

Like a black cat do

And two bodies are lyin' naked

Creeper think he got nothin' to lose

So he creeps into this house, yeah

And unlocks the door

And while a man reaching for his trousers

Shoots him full of .38 holes

Name That Tune!

buyad();

keeping along the same theme.

"Just one more mornin, I had to wake up with the blues.
Pulled myself out of bed, yeah, put on my walkin shoes.
And went up on the mountain, to see what I could see.
The whole world was fallin, right down in front of me."

Hmmmm, no takers. Is it lack of effort on forum members parts? It can't be that it is too hard, but I give more lyrics AND a hint

Hint - same band as last go round.

I listened and I heard music in a word,
And words when you played your guitar,
The noise that I was hearing was a million people cheering,

Ok, last group of lyrics. If this does not give it away you guys/gals suck!

I listened and I heard music in a word,
And words when you played your guitar,
The noise that I was hearing was a million people cheering,
And a child flew past me riding in a star.

There once was a note, <Song Title Removed>,
Playing so free, like a breath rippling by.

There once was a note, listen

Ok, I went through Live at Leeds extended edition, Who's Next, Quadrophenia, TOmmy, WHo are You, Greatest Hits, Face Dances. Finally found it on the 30 years of maximum R&B-

Song title is Pure and Easy, from the odds and sods album. Pretty tough one there, although you gave us almost all the lyrics. I knew I'd heard it before, but those little Pete melodies could pop up on almost any (and every) Who album.

You are correct. Pure and Easy from Odds and Sods. O&S was one of my fav LPs growing up. I guess I thought everyone was like me [;)]

Just a hint of that songs does show up on a cut from the Who's Next LP.

Very interesting info on the song here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pure_And_Easy Hard to believe it was a pivitol part of Lighthouse, but did not make it on a LP for a while.
