thxsubwoofers
I just went to Bestbuy tonight, and tested out the new Klipsch Quintet III. I was very impressed with the SQ difference from the old Quintet II. The design of the new Klipsch Quintet III looks awesome. Thumbs up.[Y][Y] The only new product I didn't get to test out is the iGroove.
DrWho
The Quintet III? How did I miss that announcement? We got to see them in their design stages at the pilgrimage this last summer (or at least they were demo'ing the design stages with these speakers). They've got a really really cool mounting mechanism (you can basically point them any direction).
kenratboy
Yes, they are very cool. Instead of the cheesy little .5" dish towel material tweeter, looks like the .75" aluminum driver from the bigger Synergy's. The mid-woofer is also much beefier. The hard-to-use bases from the II's are gone and now it is a much nicer and well-designed base. Very big improvement. Every part is different on it. Very cool stuff. Retails for $500 for the 5.0 system.
Moderators Amy Posted October 30, 2005 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2005 I don't typically gush over new product on here (since everyone assumes I'm just biased) but I do have to say that I love the new Quintet. I think it looks very cool, and packs incredible sound for the buck. But that's just me []
DrWho
Wow, add the sub-12 for $300 and purchase a $300 reciever and you're looking at one killer computer setup [] One thing about the new quintets is that the speaker base will cover the same area that the old quintets covered. I know it's a little thing, but this was the thing that impressed me the most at the klipsch tour....I really have a strong appreciation for the little cool things like this (and there were millions of them all over the place). It's not like klipsch is just randomly slapping together a peice of crap entry level product....they reall take their time engineering everything to the best of their ability (heck, it certainly didn't cost them anything to make the base plate cover the same area).
