JohnA
It looks like I'll be getting to build a new theater room in a new house! I'd like to pick up a single La Scala for a center channel. Does anybody know of one that might be available?
jbsl
John keep a eye on Ebay that is were I found my single La Scala for $300 bucks plus another $100 for a BEC rebuild on the A/AA crossover. Once you get the center channel La Scalas it makes a huge difference in movies. If I see one I'll let ya know.Xman
Marvel
John, I'm still thinking of some LS bottoms with a Smith horn on top. If the timbre match wasn't too out of whack, it would make a great center. Why? The Smith has great horizontal dispersion, so it should work quite well for a center. Depending on how far down your screen comes, this would fit pretty well. You starting to run out of room in that house? Bruce
JohnA
Hi Bruce! This will be in a new house. I'll have a bigger room to work with. The Basic dimensions will be 24' 6" x 24' 6". I'll set the walls in, off of the block walls, to get a better shape and get away from a square room.

I'm also looking for a new heritage centre for the room i'm building in my basement... but i was thinking of building my own cabinet along the lines of the CornScala limiting the height to 30" to fit under the screen. Nothing like heritage all around... [] ROb
JohnA
I could always use one of these, for the short haul. http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/files/MockSys1.JPG They sound remarkably like a La Scala and are shorter, but It is too ugly to use for long. colterphoto1
That looks doable John, FH1 and 511B is it? Bet that sounds great echoing off that guys' wooded lot! Whats the going rate for a pair of 511B horns and which driver would be best with it? I'd like to get some and make VOCornwall speakers. J.4knee
You should be able to get a pair of 511b horns for about $100 +. I have three and averaged about $51 or $52 each buying them over time.

JohnA
Thanks, Josh! I just found it, too. Roger, I didn't mean to cause arrythmia, but is not the front array of an HT, an "arrangement of three"? LOL!
