charfles
hey, my sub sounds like 3 times better and more powerfull when i am only using the two speakers. if i turn it to four speakers with win2k's audio properties then the subs power goes way down. i think it might be a software issue. i am using a sound blaster pci128 with windows 2000. if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. thanks
justin_tx_16
Well, in my experience, when i put it on 4 speaker from the SB Live control panel, even if i only have 2 speakers, the sound is better... when it is 2.1 it does not make it 2.1 at 400 watts, basically 2.1 does not have 400 watts so the sub does not loose power when it is in 4.1 mode. That makes it s software problem. There were complaints that W2000's sound capabilities are not up to par with the other OS's out there, so that may be the problem. Also, your soud card is not the best out there... it is not even a live correct? Well you would probably benefit from buying a new sound card. ------------------ -justin I am an amateur, but if it is professional help you want email Amy or call her toll free: 1-888-554-5665 http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
TheEAR
A CL PCI128 huh, well at least a Live!(very inexpensive now)or Turtle Beach Santa Cruz would help. I never had any bass dropouts when I was using my Klipsch 4.1 in four speaker mode. TheEAR(s) Now theears

This is a known problem with some four channel sound cards. Check with your card maker for a driver update. ------------------ Klipsch ProMedia Customer Service # is 1-888-554-5665
