Bruce,

I am so very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She is with God now and he will grant you peace in the time to come. Although we have never met your sharing of her trials and journey brought her closer to all of us. Thank you for sharing your family with us. We will pray for you and your family as you greive.

God bless and keep you.

A guy could not have asked for a better mother.

She did such a good job of mirroring gods love for us by loving us kids even when we would misbehave.

A week and a half ago I walked into the room with her and she was crying.

She turned and told me she was sorry for how hard it was going to be for the rest of us.

I am going to miss her so much.

thank you everyone for the words of encouragement.

Bruce I am saddened to hear of your families loss . I have lost my mother and an older sister in seperate incidents many years ago so I can understand some of what you and your family will be going thru . You strike me as a very strong person , and your stength will serve you well in the trying times ahead ... My sympathies , Willy P.

I am very sorry for your loss. When a close friend of mine died I remember a poem, author unknown, non the less its a nice poem

When tomorrow starts without me,

and I'm not there to see;

If the sun should rise and find your eyes

all filled with tears for me;

I wish so much you wouldn't cry

the way you did today,

while thinking of the many things

we didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,

as much as I love you,

and each time you think of me,

I know you'll miss me too;

But when tomorrow starts without me,

please try to understand,

that an angel came and called my name

and took me by the hand,

and said my place was ready in heaven far above,

and that I'd have to leave behind

all those whom I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,

a tear fell from my eye,

for all my life, I'd always thought

I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for

and so much yet to do,

it seemed almost impossible

that I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,

the good ones and the bad,

I thought of all the love we shared

and all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,

I thought, just for awhile,

I'd say goodbye and kiss you

and maybe see you smile.

But then I fully realized

that this could never be,

for emptiness and memories

would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things

that I'd miss come tomorrow,

I thought of you, and when I did,

my heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,

I felt so much at home.

When God looked down and smiled at me,

from His great golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity

and all I've promised you.

Today for life on earth is past

but here it starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow,

but today will always last,

and since each day's the same day,

there's no longing for the past.

But you have been so faithful,

so trusting, and so true.

Though there were times you did some

things you knew you shouldn't do.

But you have been forgiven and now at last you're free.

So won't you take my hand and share my life with me?"

So when tomorrow starts without me,

don't think we're far apart,

for every time you think of me,

I'm right here in your heart.

Today for life on earth is past

but here it starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow,

but today will always last,

and since each day's the same day,

there's no longing for the past.

But you have been so faithful,

so trusting, and so true.

Though there were times you did some

things you knew you shouldn't do.

But you have been forgiven

and now at last you're free.

So won't you take my hand

and share my life with me?

So when tomorrow starts without me,

don't think we're far apart,

for every time you think of me,

I'm right here in your heart.

Bruce, I have been amazed at how eloquently you have seemed to handle this entire ordeal. Though we have never met you seem to be a genuine and kind soul. I am so sorry for you loss. I pray you and your family to find comfort and peace.

All the best.

My heart dropped into my shoe when I read the thread title this morning. Bruce and Josh, I am so sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. I understand your loss, the tears of love...As Dee said, thank you for keeping your Forum friends in the loop (I know from personal experience how theraputic that can be).

Bruce,

Fini does know his wine.

I got an e-mail from Michael Colter this morning. He's taking a break from the forum, but he did want to pass along a word to you and your family. His message is pasted in below:

"My prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss. Thanks for sharing

your joy and sorrow openly with your Forum brothers. It sounds like you accomplished

a tremendous amount together in Barbara's final months. God bless you all for that."

Michael
