Oh, the other thing is that wall is on one end of the family

room/kitchen/breakfast nook. The kitchen is over 40 FEET away

from the TV, and we spend a lot of time in the kitchen watching TV

(while cooking, cleaning, doing nothing, etc.)

Literally, I had a pair of Zeiss binoculars I was using like opera

glasses - it is THAT small and THAT far away - they are 8X and I was

able to see the ENTIRE TV with them!

This sucks.

Well, at least the sound is good.

Oh, and when the guys came to look at the TV, I turned it on and showed

it to them. They immediatly said, "Oh, thats bad, yeah, we need

to take it with us!"

My Mits rep said it is probably a defective LCD panel or related part

deep inside the light engine - and I will say, if you buy a TV like

this, get the service plan. It will be well over $1000 if it is

the light engine. It is all warranty work.

When the TV was powered on, there were hundreds of red, vertical lines

running through the screen. They would go away anywhere from 10

seconds to a few minuites after the TV was powered on. Once it

was gone, it was perfect.

Probably ~500 hours on the lamp, but the problem was there from new.
