ajcllc
I recently purchased a package deal on the Sherbourn PT-7010A preamp and the Sherbourn 7/2100A amp. However, I have been having a sound dropout problem with my Comcast digital cable box while watching television. To remedy this I swapped out the cable box several times and even tried another Sherbourn PT-7010A preamp without any luck; the dropout problem still occurs. Therefore, I will probably be selling my preamp, because there is a compatibility issue with Comcast as stated by Sherbourn and a local high end audio store. (I wish I would have known this before my initial purchase.) I do not want to bring them back, because I will also have to forfeit the amp, since this was a package deal. Currently, I own 4 Forte's, an Academy, and 2 Quartets and would like another preamp that is 7 channels that is also great for listening to music. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? easylistener
Is this a HD box? I don't think that a differnt pre-amp will solve your problem. It is your cable box. They are having all kinds of problems like this with these new digital cable and HD box. Before you sell your pre-amp do a couple of searches on your cable box on google and make sure it is a box issue.
ajcllc
Thanks. It is a high definition box. (Motorola DCT3412 1)
