BS Button
Who's got the skinny on these items? Which brand or kind are a little premium or the best? Where do you get them? I could go with an adapter item and use a good rca cable or I can get the whole cable with 1/4" plug on one side and rca on the other? Good ones!!! Where are they? wuzzzer
I've seen both adapters and entire cables like that.

sfogg
"Good ones!!!" They are just a piece of wire, don't sweat 'quality' on them. " Where are they?" Radio Shack sells the adapters. Shawn
fletcherkane
Rat Shack has all the cables and adapters you could want like those with many different qualities. Good luck. What do you need them for?

sfogg
"Rat Shack? C'mon." There are no electronics in them. It literally is a piece of wire that connects the hot on the RCA to one pin on the TRS and the ground to another. That is all there is to it. But I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find some Audiofool Cryro Treated Depleted Uranium version for 100x the cost. The kind of thing the BS Button was created for IOW. fletcherkane
Sorry I didn't know what equipment you were running. That's why I asked what they would be used for.

ben.
www.partsexpress.com should have a few choices. Be aware (just for the sake of clarity) that you are using the terms jack & plug, seemingly referring to the same thing. Jack refers to a female - plug to the male. colterphoto1
Todd, I just use good quality RCA interconnects and get the plug adapter for the 1/4" end. I couldn't find any built up cables like you're looking for at Parts Express. Or buy RCA interconnects TWICE the length you need, chop em in two and solder your own heavy duty 1/4" ends on them. Easy to do so long as you hold the correct end of the soldering iron. Michael

Jeff Matthews
I have Yammy to Crown, and my Rat Shacks have worked great for 20 years. Whoever said they are just wires w/no components is right. I would get the right ones for the job and not "build-up" the right wire by using adapters. That was my first try, and it failed. colterphoto1
I'm thinking Blue Jeans cables. How could you not? I searched the Blue Jeans Cable site, could not find a single 1/4" terminator mentioned anywhere. I suppose you'd have to call them to make it up custom. Probably about $30 each according to their pricing. I'd just go to Radio Shack, get out the solding iron, be done with it. Heck, I've done it plenty of times, I'll make you up a nice set if you want. ironwoods
Hey Michael, after two identicle plugs at BJ cable from Duke, and thus forcing a subliminally induced statement from arfandbark, you're going to quote me? [] I thought it obviously a joke, however BS button may take you up on your generous offer. []
