KLIPSCHHOG
Can anyone tell me why I nearly had a heart attack a couple of days ago.... I wake up, take shower, eat breakfast, etc.. and then notice the back panel of my left channel klf-30 laying against the wall. It looked as if the glue inside the cabinet had never bonded to the back panel. anybody know why this might have happened?

Ray Garrison
Just on the off chance that this might be a serious question, there was a production run(s) of the KLF series where the bond between the cabinet back and the cabinet failed after some time (faulty bonding material supplied by vendor, as I recall). Call 1-800-KLIPSCH and have your serial numbers handy, they can give you the scoop and the suggested action to take. avman
hey guys!?! what's up with the 'troll' response from forresthump, and doubting if this was a serious ? from you ray? did i miss something? this guy is a VERY good friend of mine who reinforced my decision to get klf-30's to begin with by asking if i could 'hang on' to his '30's for about a month until he could find room for them in his apartment...i was going to get reference bookshelf speakers w/ a sub..until about the 3rd day i had his 30's, then i knew i had to have a pair! i also bought his (now MY) 777es receiver, and am doing an install today and tomorrow with him. he's one of the nicest, most enthusiastic, and knowledgeable people i've met... are you guys confusing him w/ someone else? i told him about your replys, and he was dismayed at the apparent animosity..after all, i told him how this was such a great bb! Ray Garrison
My comment about "Just on the off chance that this might be a serious question..." was directed at forresthump, not at KLIPSCHHOG. Sorry if I made it sound like I wasn't talking the first poster seriously. There WAS a problem a while back with some production runs of the KLF series - bonding material used to attach cabinet backs had problems. Klipsch stands behind their product and will help you with the problem. Ray ------------------ Music is art Audio is engineering
TheEAR
This Klipsch BB has new and interesting things almost every day!One day a ProManiac's sub sets itself on fire... http://216.37.9.58/ubb/Forum33/HTML/000701.html This is what I call a hot sub. And now panels from KLF30 fall! What is next? I know when I purchased the KSW12 the port fell off! LOL no its not a joke.I did not post complaints, did not cry.Did not send the sub back(waste of time)I just took a glue gun and glued the port with hot glue.Never had the port flying out when big bass comes along. Just be sure when you buy Klipsch to ask for your FREE glue gun with a dozen glue sticks! And when you buy the LoudMedia fill the coupon and get your very own 50oz mini fire extinguisher!Aproved by TheEAR(s)! In case some take this seriously...I am joking. DUH TheEAR(s) Now theears
KLIPSCHHOG
Thanks for making me feel welcome guys. I called klipsch and they told me to take some liquid nails and "Get Happy" with it on the back panel. it worked pretty good but I had a little problem with using a bit to much and now the back panel looks as if it were "fabrique en China". Do you guys know of anything that will remome the excess glue but leave the cabinet finish untouched?
edster00
KLIPSCHHOG, Take some photos and let us see what it looks like...maybe Klipsch will offer your "finish" as an option!
