I have posted a request for info on their forum.

I'm wondering if older cabinets might benefit from their newer driver technology. Since my woofers and subs all have dedicated amps, no x-over limitations are involved.

My request for info is for Klipsch LSI's, EAW FR-253's and SB-180's. I don't want to hack the cabinets, so the "new" drivers must be an improvement over the old.

We'll see what they come up with. [;)]

I just wanted to mention that the TC-3000-QVC-15 can get 128dB with an

F3 of 15Hz after room gain in a 3 cubic foot cabinet tuned to 19Hz with

a little signal processing and 1000W worth of amplifier. Ummm....holy

freaken crap?!? [H] (It's -10dB at 11Hz!)

And it only costs $395 for the driver?!?

*drool*

Finally, a real driver on the DIY market. I can't wait to see what the

big boy LMS drivers will do with nearly double the magnet size.

Ok, it's too good I just gotta show a picture. (btw, winISD models half space so you gotta add 6dB for eigth space)

Btw, the blue line is the 15" driver in an 8cubic foot cabinet tuned to 18Hz...interesting how the larger cabinet doesn't make a big difference.

And the green line is the 12" version in a 3 cubic foot cabient tuned to 18Hz. It has an F3 of 14Hz and as expected 5dB less output than the 15" driver.

WOW check out these insane woofers,now DIY looks like a must. [:D]

Way to go TC Sounds,the LMS5400 looks from specs like it will be a total animal.Very interesting,buy two LMS5400 series 18" woofers,then a high power Crown with plenty O juice and damping.Build a box and slaughter any comercial sub made for home use. [:)]

They're the suppliers for SVSound (SVS subwoofers). This IS big news.

was.... Looks like SVS is making their own now.

And it does look impressive. Though I wonder if they cater to the small sealed enclosure box diyers cause I have my 4.5 cubic foot sealed dual 15 inch woofer ready and waiting. Its just I have to find a job to get the money first is all. The LMS looks promising but that or tumult that or tumult!!!

Did you measure the port length needed and the size of the port and taming the velocity?

Wow! I may have to pull the trigger on the tc-3000...too many pluses at $400:

5.6 liters Vd (total swept!) vs. 4.86 liters for the Tumult 15d2

89.2 dB sensitivity vs. 86.9 for Tumult

34mm "linear Xmax" ~44mm(xmech)

2.0 cu. ft. net internal volume (sealed!!!) .578 Q ! perfect!

109.5 dB @ 20 Hz (1/2 space/ 1 meter/ winisd pro)

BL ~30 teslameters!

copper shorting ring, etc, etc.

It models 2 dB higher than my Tumult 15d2 in max SPL.

The LMS-4100 NEO won't be released right away and i'm wondering how sensitive it will be and if it will be optimized for small enclosures.

Running both the Tumult15d2 and TC-3000 together (10.5 liters Vd) would be incomprehensible...but it's going to happen real soon!...~130 dB in a 1,800 cu. ft. room?[:o]

How is the tumult? I thought you had it with Adire and their service? Did they fix the tinsels?

Also I might have to jump for the TC3000 too instead of the tumult.

BTW model the LMS4000 with a sealed at 4.5 cubic feet. I know not great spl but look how flat the sucker is at!

But I probably will wait for the grand daddy LMS that is gulp 849 dollars each!

Holy smokes.... I been messing around with the TC-3000 15" driver in the enclosure I built.

Its a 4.5 sealed dual 15 inch designed enclosure.

It has to be kept under 128 watts or it will overexcursion but look at the results a near linear from 20-200 hertz for a SEALED system!!! And the Qtc is .555 to boot!

to get the results though you need:

Peaking 2nd order highpass Gpk=4 db fpk=20hertz

and

Linkwitz transform f0=41.71 Q0=.56 fp=20 Qp=.71
