Dtel and I just drove around for two hours looking for the farmhouse. You would think in a litttle town like Hope and the maps we were provided that finding the farmhouse would be a walk in the park.

Well, it just aint so...IOO (in our opinion) the maps to the farmhouse stink. No offense meant because we know a lot of hard work went into preparing these maps, but they suck.

In the alternative, it could have been dtel's inability to read a map. I was driving, he had the map. After realizing dtel's frustrations I took over map reading, along with driving. I looked at the map numerous times before I could figure out what was going on. In fact, there was a rather large sign that said BANKCORP FARM HOUSE, and that didn't even help.

And...before any of you start any rumours we have not indulged in any drugs or alcohol, YET. After the escapade of finding the farmhouse, we just might.

And...when we got to the farmhouse, if it was indeed THE FARMHOUSE that we found, there was no one there.

In any event, the maps are appreciated. I should note the map to the Plant is excellent. No problems with maps to the plant.

The best I can do is "just past 28th Street on S. Main turn right". I wish I could do more to help.

We think we found the right "farmhouse", but we are not sure because I thought it was an "old farmhouse". It actually looks new, if we found the right "farmhouse".

You are welcome to follow us out there when you are ready to go.

No offence to anyone, but that was my reaction to the maps also. I use Microsoft Streets & Trips. Much better than what I saw. So, do you have a street address for the farm house?

Many thanks,

Terry

PS: You brought drugs? Outstanding! What kind?[;)]

No, we do not have an address for the farmhouse. If I had an address I could have looked it up on my laptop.

Dtel's job was to copy the maps from Amy. I had a momentary lapse of sanity and thought he would be able to tell if the maps were any good. You would think after 28 years of marriage to dtel I would know he can't read a map.

I let him read the map one time before. Our first trip to the Smoky Mountains. We had rented a chalet and the rental company provided a map to the chalet. Following dtel's map interpretations lead me about three feet from the rooftop of a chalet on the opposite side of the mountain.

That incident ocurred about 20 years ago, I thought maybe, just maybe he could handle a map for a town as small as Hope, Arkansas.[;)]

Dee's police escort was a couple of vehicles behind me on the road (after catching up) going to the Goat Roper. An old truck pulling a trailer-full was going verrry slow. We were following in a now long line, and a guy in a small truck just behind me had had enough. He gunned the truck, whipped around me, and with pedal-to-the-metal, passed us all. So did the sheriff (with lights flashing), who had been two cars behind the guy! It was hillarious.

Thanks, Dee. I needed to be reminded of that. I'm still laughing. I can see him passing, and the sheriff pulling out of the line, in my side mirror right now.

Glad you guys made it to Hope safe and sound. Now that you've found the farm house, you can escort the rest of us.

Last time I was in Hope I had a police escort to the Goat Roper.

I remember that Dee, that was hilarious! Trust me Trey didin't need any help treating that rental car like the General Lee!

I'm sorry about the trouble you had with the map, Christy. Since Trey was solely responsible, I would recommend calling his cell phone frequently to let him know how inadequate he is.

ROFL!

Calling Trey's phone ain't gonna help - there ain't no reception. But it'd be funny to leave him a ton of messages [;)]

Just got off the phone with him and he said to make sure you were using the right maps as he sent out two different versions (or rather Amy sent out 2 versions). I think the maps suck too but whatever [;)]

For what its worth, the farmhouse does look very new and it is the "Bankcorp" one so you did get to the right place.

Got an If I were there I would do just this. Find a big piece of cardboard, staple gun and a yardstick or something like that and make a sign or 2 to post out before tomorrow afternoon[;)]

Just typing out loud again[:|]

Sounds like a good idea....

Google maps are usually really good. Hmmm Who is driving again ? [6]

I personally bought 50 sheets of large cardboard wrting paper that we (forum members) wrote on.... and should be posted where to go to the the "Klipsch farm house" and where to "Klipsch Plant " as well.

Look, nothing was planned till friday at the Klipsch working factory tour... saturday is the other tour real day and demo..... sat night is for dinner and entertainment too.

YOUR complaining a day EARLY, to an event that has not yet started yet...

CHILL OUT!!!

Look for the signs on your way to the events... the Klipsch plant is a no brainer.. the Farm House is a little tricky... but we will have you covered!!stay on the right lanes.. on the way out.
