Martin the Vampire
Hey everyone, Has anyone heard of the hvd format? I've read that a hvd disc can store 1 terrabite. I've found a player for it: http://www.hkflix.com/hardware/xq/asp/pid.112/qx/details.htm This player can upconvert to 1080p from both hdmi and component. I was wondering if anyone here has heard of these, and knows more about them. (both the format and this player) Thanks
PiperG
From what I've read HVD will be the prominent hi def video format of the future. HD dvd and blu ray are just to hold people over until 2008. I'm not even wasting my $$$ on the current hi def stuff. HVD will own.
oldbuckster
Keep changing formats, consumer loses, equipment companies win, DVD makers make more money, it's really not good for the consumer.
JJkizak
It has me wondering a lot. The price is too good to be true. JJK
toddvj
Well, looks like they already have some movies you can buy and try it out. At least you wouldn't be out much if it doesn't take off, plus you can still play regular DVDs on it.
