Colter, what type of finish did you use to get such a warm color with

Black Walnut? It doesn't look grey or black really at all.

This is a real problem I'm having trying to get any new Black Walnut

veneer to match the stuff already on my speakers.

Todd and I just talked it over and assumed it was black walnut because it was so different from any other walnut we had seen. It has no stain at all, he put one coat of rub on 'salad bowl' finish on it and I put a couple more coats of a similar wipe on product.

Mahogany Shorthorn, 1957. (we won't get into to where it came from[:#])

Walnut Oil Heresy (H700), 1971. The grill cloth is what makes this little guy stand out.

Nothing all that exotic necessarily however they are both original and pretty rare in this condition.

Budman. I was waiting for you to post these! I didn't want to beat you to the presses on your own speaker. This is the single most bizarre/rare/interesting factory veneer I have ever seen on a Klipsch product! Truly one of a kind. Please photograph more of your speakers!

Here are Budman's Rambling Rose-made from a reconstituted log, dyed, and pieced back together as I understand it...

Seti,

A couple of bong hits and your speakers can look just like those.
