Michael's travel arrangements are finalized!!!![:)]

He will be heading down south December 4, 2006.[<:o)]

Although we had been begging him to come down for a vacation, we had to bribe him.[;)]

We have engaged Michael as the photographer for our "Triple Wedding" on December 9, 2006.[H]

Our oldest daughter and her fiance will be wed, our only niece and her fiance will be wed and dtel and I will renew our 28 year wedding vows.

We are so excited to have Michael as our guest for a week.

Some of you had expressed an interest having an informal gathering in our area. As of now, Thurs, Fri and Sat, December 7-9 are dedicated to the "wedding". If any of you would like to get together between the evenings of December 4 and December 6 let me know. You can either post here or email me.

I know those are weekdays, but how often do we have the opportunity to be graced with Michael's presence.[;)] Your next chance may be in Indy next June.

Can't wait to see you Michael.[{][}]

Congrats on all the weddings - I can't imagine a better photographer for the task either!

I hope we are not too much for Colter to handle.[;)] We plan on showing him some "sights".[:o]

Is gambling back up yet in Bay St Louis? Last time I was there years ago I believe it was Casino Magic. Duran (Mr. No Mas) was fighting some no name that night.

Congrats on all the nuptials. That's jumping in the fire there Colter, especially if they are all on the same day.

TRIPLE WEDDING!!!! I can only imagine the chaios! Congrats to all!

Greeeeaaat, the pressure's ON!, isn't it?

I'm really looking forward to meeting the Dtel's (all 13 of them). It's going to be blast.

Sorry I can't stay longer but there's so much photo work to be taken care of before I join Klipsch. For some reason everyone wants their photos for the holidays as well so I'm burning the candle at both ends right now. Still have much paperwork and the lawsuit to get taken care of as well- so I'll be ready for a bit of break when I get down there.

Hopefully we can see many of the sights on Tues-Thursday, and visit and check out the Forte system and CWIII's on Monday night.

I printed out Delta's onboard luggage guidelines- looks like I can take 40 pounds of cameras as carry on with me so won't need to ship anything ahead of time!

Hide the LaScala's [;)]

I already snatched those back.

If anyone here doesn't know about the Colter/Dtel connection, here's a brief primer.

Must have been 2005 when I won a bid on my second pair of split LSI's- which were located down near lake Ponchatrain (sp?). There was no way I could get down there right away, so looked for a Forum member to pickup and hold. That's when Dtel's were kind enough to step in and help out a Forum member they'd never even met. They also got the opportunity to have those big babies in their living room to keep their Forte's company. I think they got rather connected to them.

About a month after that, a friend of mine was picking up a van for a friend near N.O., so he stopped by to pick up the LSI's for me. Sometime following, I won a bid for some minty oak Forte II's for a steal of a price down south somewhere. I forget the details, but Dtel had been looking for a pair to add to his HT so it would be an all Forte system. I stepped out of that deal so he could complete his setup.

That's the Legend of Colter and Dtel.

Now we finally get to meet- it'll be way cool.

According to my parents (they live in Pass Christian) - yes. Mom & Dad said it wasn't any where near as nice as the old Casino Magic (it's smaller) and the food isn't as good either.

OTOH - there's a new Casino opening up pretty soon in Clermont Harbor (east of Bay St, Louis and Waveland) that's suppose to be very nice.

dtel's....please make sure you take Michael to Beningo's (behind St. Stanislaus) in Bay St. Louis and show the man what a roast beef po-boy is with gravy and all the dressings. Heck - order him a shrimp po-boy and Barq's too! [:)] (sigh........me getting home sick.)

BTW - I'l be visiting my parents for Christmas from the 23rd to the 29th.

The deal with the Forte II's...Michael conceded his winning bid to us. That was our first "Heritage" purchase. The concession of the Forte's occurred before we helped out with the LaScala purchase. That's the least we could do, besides we really enjoyed listening to those Scalas.

We (the bridal party, Michael and a few others) will be going to the French Quarter after the rehearsal on Friday night, Dec. 8 and then again on Saturday night, Dec. 9 after the wedding. So if any of you can make it those nights you are most welcome to join us.

Michael will fly out of MSY on December 10 at 7 a.m. and we (all nine of us in the house) will leave on a six day Carribean Cruise on December 11.

We had hoped to take Michael to Maspero's...Clover Grill...and of course those exotic bars.[;)]

Yes it is a real triple wedding...three brides, same time, same place. Michael is going to have more women than he knows what to do with.[;)]

Michael, get all your work caught up, so you can come and play.

Just in case any of you make it down this way for the holidays...we will be celebrating the holiday season at home. If you would like to make arrangements to get together let us know. My birthday is Christmas Day, so that is just one more reason for a party![^][D][<:o)]

To tell the truth I the thing I am most excited about is " trying " to show Michael around the area, and to have him listen and give me some ideas on what I can do to improve my setup.

Everybody here knows how nice it is when someone that has years of experience can listen to your own setup and give a new opinion.

There is always room to improve, and it's easy to get stuck on a sound, or overwhelmed trying different speaker placement, and trying to figure out what sounds best ?

And it was hard to finally turn those La Sacla's over to Michael, they sounded very good .

Can't wait for advice ! Thanks , ahead of time.

We were going to drive along the coast so Michael could see it with the Katrina remodel, we will go look for Beningo's, I could use one of them po-boy's myself .

Also plan to show him St Bernard, 9th ward, NO East and the french Quarter during the day.

We will also bring him back to the French Quarter at night, wish it was Mardi Gras time, he would not belive Bourbon St on Mardi Gras day . [:o]

Also would like to take him to the House of Seafood in Bush La, it's not a fancy place at all, but they have a seafood buffet with all the local seafood boiled or fried, raw oysters and good deer sausage. Almost hurt myself last time we went there !
