George Roland
After a long thread on the sound quality of SETs recently, I took the plunge and bought a pair of beautiful looking used Welborne 300s on Audiogon. They arrived Tuesday night, smashed to bits in transit, Big holes in the cartons, broken wooden bases hanging out of the holes, parts rattling around inside. They were returned to the shipper, and I got my money back, but I'd rather have had the amps. What a heartbreaker! Oh well, I still have my Blueberry coming. Hope it makes it! colterphoto1
RIP SET sorry to hear of your loss. sellers can be such idiots- did the guy have that little respect for the gear?
ben.
Sometimes it happens. It's a consequence of being able to send a box full of basically whatever you want halfway around the world for $20. Sometimes they throw stuff!
boomac
Maybe the shipper knew what it was![6][]

George Roland
A fit? Yeah...talk about sinking feelings! I've bought and sold a ton of audio equipment on e-Bay and Audiogon and this is only the second instance of damage I've encountered. Gotta do bullet-proof packing! I was VERY fortunate. The seller was very responsible and honorable. He refunded my money through PayPal, so it happened almost instantly. George

paul cbc
Dopuble box and thick foam SHEET. no bubly wap. pea nutz or other stupidity with packaging. I agree. FOAM is the way to go. You can buy 4x8 sheets of varying thickness and make up a nice crate for whatever you are shipping.
