Nice toe-in.

I have stepped on and off of birds in much worse landing zones than that. (non-military, just going to work) But, never a craft that big.

The rush comes when the craft isn't touching anything when you board, and you are above 10,000 feet in a thunder storm.

Point of order: No one was shooting at us!

Man, we requested and loved the old Nam era Med-Evac pilots. In four years, I NEVER spent a night on the mountain, and I know they put themselves at risk in getting me down.

Altitude, wind, hail, snow be hanged, those guys always got me home before dark.

Hats off to you, and the new guys too.
