Andy I understand you not wanting to insult him and I myself not knowing the complete situation don't want to jump to the wrong conclusions. Servicing Electronics is a tough business nowadays because the cost in labor/time to trouble shoot problems can easily cost more than the cost of replacement sometimes. Andy I'm not saying your tech is one but I find another problem nowadays is finding compentent/good technicians in many fields of service and some of these people can be really nice people but they just don't have the skills/equipment to give proper service so you have to watch out since this can cost alot of money in incorrect repairs.
