funkyhambone
i am wanting to mount sideways in top corners of my kitchen. i would like to have a little tilt downways. they have no risers and i want the rosewood grain to be visible. is there a mount available that affixes to the back panel? or has anyone fabricated anything that has worked? HarryO
If they have rear access screws you can secure brackets or hooks to the rear and not damage your cabinets. I've hung many speakers using cable on the hooks without damaging the cabinets. Don't mess up nice old Heritage speakers please.

fini
Ross V Taylor mounted Heresys up high in his HT. Ross was one of the guys who made that first Pilgrimage, back in '01.

oldbuckster
Funky, sometime last summer someone on here posted pictures of Heresy's mounted in the ceiling. I think it was HT Section, wish I could remember when, should find those and take a look, pretty interesting way to mount them, looked good.........just a thought................. fini
These are the original Heresys, right? With the removable backs? If so, I'd be making a new rear panel for 'em, something I wouldn't mind screwing to a mounting system. Save the original backs.
seti
I was at a house the other night with Cornwalls hanging from the ceiling and they sounded pretty good. The house was big and they had so much stuff they might not have sounded as good on the floor.
CaptnBob
One of the reasons PWK chose the dimentions of the Heresy was so that it could fit over a standard doorway. I'd be careful about how you mounted it, though. You don't want the back pulling off some night. As I recall, when speakers are "flown" in theatres and so on, the speaker needs to have bolts going all the way through the cabinet so it's supported from the bottom. rplace
Give mine a look http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/563573.aspx if you don't want to put a hole in the backs just use a new piece of plywood.

M.A.N.D.I.
Somewhere on the forum there is a very detailed thread where someone cut into the ceiling so a lot of the speaker is hidden. It came out very nice and professional.
fini
Heresys we have heard on high Sweetly singing oer the plains, And the mountains in reply Echoing their joyous strains. Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Guest " "
I don't know if you would consider 5 feet up high. In a typical room with an 8 ft ceiling, that would leave about 1ft from their tops to the ceiling. I tried it, both with SS and tubes, was not a good match for a small 11X9 home office. Speedball
here is that picture Mandi mentioned....... Another member has his up high in the corners of a large room sitting on a shelf and it seems to work pretty well.
Groomlakearea51
Two pairs, both mounted at 8' height. Both are, however, angled down with a reverse riser (2" to 1"); room is 24 wide and 16 deep. Speaker pairs are at far ends on top of massive bookshelf cabinets. Powered by identical amps. So.... Works great, but I would recommend that the higher you go, be prepared to play with the "aiming" angles.
