jtnfoley
JTN! Holy sh*t! LOL Your dibs are duly noted. Good luck but prepare yourself emotionally. \ Last really good deal to come down the pipe was for K-Horns in beautiful condition... I was second responder, forst responder said something along the lines of "DUDE! Do you have any idea what those are worth?!?!?" Seller pulled the ad and stopped talking to me... On these LS... No response to email or voicemail. Dark thoughts begin to intrude... Now I know what you meant by your last sentence!
jtnfoley
Phone number looks like it belongs to a used car dealer that I drive by twice daily. Hmmm.....

gyusher
A buck says he starts asking for best offers. . . Did you notice how he worded his ad?? " 2 Klipsch speakers - $150." Then you click on it only to find that price is each and $275 for the pair. . . I just bought a pair of LS's LS FB TG AL-3 (1990) in Cinci for the same price. Seller said he had hundreds of calls. He liked me best because I didn't try to beat him down on an already killer price. One buyer offered $900 but seller refused. Buyer's first offer was $50. . .Everyday he called back bumping it. Mine are in excellent condition. Sat in a garage for 6 years so they are dirty but they look great after cleaning and their sound is wonderful. HudsonValleyNoah
I called at 3:44 and left a message saying that I would take them. so far I got no call back. It did NOT sound like a used car dealership. It was a young womans voice. So jtnf, when did you call (just courious...) ~Noah

HudsonValleyNoah
IF MY CALL WAS NOT FIRST THEN I DO NOT WANT THEM.. simple as that. Calling dibs is the right thing to do. Good luck to us all.
gigbyt
It seems my attempt at humour was lost on you. But i must take the blame as i had forgotten to put the proper smiley in my post to expose it as humorous. I hope you do get these speakers, i'm currently very happy with the set of Cornwalls i picked up the other day. Its nice to see a fellow forum member get a GREAT deal. Good luck. Thanks! These "great deals" bring "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" to mind sometimes. However, I have learned that you probably shouldn't post these super finds until you have the item in hand.
