What was the first...?

...song, tune, album that made you aware of the concept of stereo?

Other than the sound effects albums, for me, it was 'I Ain't Superstitious' by Jeff Beck with Rod Stewart on vocals.

Becks wahwah guitar rapidly shifting between channels caught my attention and from that time forward I listened for interesting use of stereo.

Stereo that worked - got to go with DSOTM.

Stereo that didnt - Rubber Bullet. Drove me insane - in the end I recorded the record onto tape on a mono player to get rid of the effect using a Y connector to mix the two channels.

Many of the 60's albums tried to emphasize stereo separation to assist the psychedelic moods.  Hendrix rather did a find job of that.  But the most energetic I recall was a little tune by The Small Faces entitled "Around The Plynthe" with their lead singer Rod Stewart.
