Gluegun
it's HERE: http://www.gamersdepot.com/hardware/speakers/klipsch/promedia_41/001.htm Hmmm...Klipsch, where did they go to get a pre-release demo copy? I don't wanna have to steal that set of speakers from...Duane Pemberton! I'd have to travel all the way to Renton, Washington! I'm on the other side of the country! Awww.... (EDIT) MY GOD...are they out, and we weren't the first to KNOW?! http://store.yahoo.com/gethifi/klippromv2.html http://www.excitestores.com/emerald/ipage?SID=30452;type=products;template=prod-page_sc.pgt;numbers=727 *GASP* ------------------ "Feh." snapgt
I wonder if those speakers that are being sold are really the 4.1s. I called the yahoo store place up and they said that as far as they know, they're the latest 4.1 speaker system from Klipsch (not the v.2-400). I wish Klipsch would inform us as to whether or not these places are selling the real thing, and if so, why is Klipsch claiming that we can only buy them from Klipsch's online store? Some additional information from a representative of Klipsch would be most helpful. -snap-
MarkUs01
Its true it's true! However they don't officially have them yet. I called them and they said they are expecting them in 1 or 2 days! Whooohoooo!
Moderators Amy Posted February 22, 2001 Moderators Share Posted February 22, 2001 It is true. Many of our dealers had placed advanced orders, and some of those orders were inadvertantly released early, as I mentioned in a different post. So, if they say they have the new 4.1s, they most likely do. Enjoy!! --Amy

Begby
http://store.yahoo.com/planetminidisc/promedia4-1.html I bought a set at the above URL last week. At first I was hesitant, contacted Klipsch, and they said they accidentally shipped out 20 sets to them. Well I got mine today and they really rock. Maybe they still have a set or two left. Maghnus
What is so different about the 4.1's over the v.2-400's with the CP-1 preamp? How much of a difference is there, ect?

Moderators Amy Posted February 23, 2001 Moderators Share Posted February 23, 2001 Switchblade, If the CP-1 is attached, they are the new 4.1s with the crossover. None of the existing v2-400s were re-boxed with the CP-1, and the CP-1s were not made available to any dealers (except Micron in Canada). --Amy
Guest BobG
Another way to tell is the specific model designation. The original system is the V-2.400 while the new model is the "Klipsch ProMedia 4.1"

I can hardly wait to get a set. i wouldn't have done it if i didn't sell my pro's for such a good price... $249.99 + shipping/handling. the total of the 4.1's came up out around $295 shipped, so it's like i upgraded for around $
Gluestick
Just got on the boards and I ordered the 4.1's Friday. I've been using some old Altec Lansings that came with my old DELL 4 years ago. Can't wait to listen to the difference.
